Spencer and DeWitt – The Assassination of Brittany Spencer

Brittany Spencer and Francis DeWitt are settling down – or at least trying to.

Spencer, back at the Special Crimes Unit, is clearing up after Pietro Jacobi’s mess and trying to juggle her detective work with her home life. She and DeWitt are working on their romantic relationship, which is not going the way she planned. It is difficult enough keeping it safe without having to keep it secret, too, even if it is for their own sakes.

DeWitt is opening his pride and joy, Apollo House, a place for displaced Z-Types and the homeless alike, with mixed feelings about his purpose. No longer a detective, no longer hiding, he has become a poster-child for Z-Type success, and his carefully constructed public veneer is cracking. The ugly truth of Francis DeWitt hides below the surface and he does not think he can keep it under wraps.

When the Agency for the Specially Abled contacts Spencer and DeWitt, they force more secrets into the couple’s already strained relationship. What do the feds want with Pietro Jacobi? Why are people hounding DeWitt’s friends? And what happens if a Z-Type nexus blows through West Ridge and takes shelter in Apollo House?

In Spencer and DeWitt’s final case, the hardest truths are the ones they have to confront together and bury alone.

Welcome to West Ridge. An assassin is around the corner…
